Different water vapor levels used in operational forecasting

When looking at the Water Vapor Loops from GOES-16 to analyze the short waves (top left and right and bottom left)... I noticed the mesoscale sector loops aren't as useful compared to the bigger picture with the 5 minute updates.  I know this is pretty practical knowledge, but the rapid 1 min updates isn't as helpful with WV.  That is quite the different story with the visible spectrum.
