Even though we had little to no storms in our forecast area, it was still a useful day. (Besides the fact that we got to see an ACTUAL tornado from the roof!)
I was able to use new products such as LAP to find possible reasons why convection was a bust (not as much convergence as forecast). In the end we were moved to Wichita at the last minute and were finally able to issue warnings!
As far as new products...the lightning jump proved to be confusing at times by going up and down from frame to frame for certain cells, but the Prob severe proved to be reliable. Of course the 1 minute satellite scans provided good visual cues for storm development. Hoping for some more active weather tomorrow.
