GOES-R CI captures Colorado supercell

One major storm developed so far in Colorado with distinct supercell structure. The GOES-R CI algorithm forecasted a 92% probability of CI for this cell at 1715 UTC. The first reported tornado was at 2005 UTC just west of Aurora in Arapahoe County. Despite the CI product not indicating the possibility of severe weather, a probability of 92% certainly shows that this storm developed with a strong updraft initially.
