GLM - West-East No Data Streaks

One thing that I have been noticing in the GLM data is west-east (and occasionally north-south) streaks of no data.  You can see these streaks in the loop below (watch Cavalier and Walsh counties in ND).

 Here is a single screenshot with arrows pointing to the west-east streaks.

In a discussion with the developer, this is a known issue and tied to a mapping error with the 8km resolution data.
