Newer RGBs only include the color components when sampling, as shown below:

RGB Sampling
Old RGBs (such as the Daytime Composite) included information such as radiance and cloud top temperature when sampling:
Newer RGBs only include the color components when sampling, as shown below:
These values have no operational utility.
