May 11, 2016:FWD Update

Impressive cluster of convection continues to drift slowly to the east/southeast from the Lubbock forecast area in the north/northwest portion of San Angelo, TX.  The good news is that the further downstream into the west/southwest portion of the FWD forecast area some convection is starting to fire ahead of the diffuse frontal boundary. The CI values have risen into th 30-45% range in that area. The cloud tops continue to cool rapidly over the SE portion of the Lubbock forecast area. We continue to monitor for more downstream development of the MCS forming over the LUB/SJT forecast area.
