The NUCAPS profiles did a good job resloving the dryline in southwestern OK. Profiles for an area to the east of the dryline (top) and west of the dryline (bottom) are shown below.
The profile to the east of the dryline had a surface temperature and dewpoint about 10 degrees below surrounding obs. Prehaps unsurprisingly, the profile west of the dryline had temperature and dewpoint at the surface much closer to relaity. I was however surprised at the number of points that passed the QC check, especially to the east of the dryline where clouds were prevelant.
Also of note was the moist layer evident on both soundings around 400mb. This matches a moist layer found on 12z and 18z soundings around the area.
